“Team LVIV” came from the World Cup Karate WKF, held in beautiful Czech city of Hradec Kralove, with triumph.
There are 23 athletes from Lviv brought 20 medals!
Champions are: Galina Melnik, club “Arey” category juniors kumite 16-17 years – 59 kg; Dobrianskyi Boris, Club “Arey” category kumite children 8-9 years, -30 kg, Pozniy Yuriy, club “Shogun” , absolute category kumite children 12-13 years. The rest of our athletes have brought the silver and bronze.
The most emotional moment was the last match of the competition. In the category of team kumite among boys 12-13 years were 12 teams. The honor of “Team LVIV” protect Yuri Kit (Arey), Yuri Pozniy (Shogun) and Michael Filippenko (Shogun). After two victories, our team gets to the final. The first match held Yuri Pozniy and ends it with a draw. The second match held Michael Filippenko, he is only 11 years old and his opponent was older than Michael minimum of 2 years and above the head (see above photo). Result 0:7 match is not in our favor. Yuriy Kit understands that he should win only with the score only 8-0 to become the champion team. With 1 minute 40 seconds Yuri Kit gaining only 5 points and victory seemed already lost, but at the last second …. SANBON! VICTORY! Our team won the team battle with a difference at one point! “We – the people of Lviv We – the best!” cried our fans in the stands.
Among 53 teams from 16 countries “Team LVIV” took IV place.

February 26-27 Lviv team of 20 people participated in the International tournament of Central European League Karate “7″Harasuto Cup” in Lodz (Poland). About 900 athletes from 65 teams of Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Cyprus, Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Denmark, Hungary and others participated in the competitions.
There are 14 madals our team brought in Lviv.

Crimea.
From 1 to 14 July Lvov joined karate training process with active recreation in the Crimea.
More than 150 athletes from different cities of Ukraine came to Popovka to take part in educational training camps.
Joint training sessions were held by coaches: Vladimir Gulyaev, Tatyana Ushakova, Vladimir Kusiy, Yuri Starovoitov, Nazar Hominyak etc.
Children and adults have mastered the techniques of karate, jiu-jitsu, Thai boxing. There were 2 times a day training sessions on the sandy shore of the Black Sea.
Carpathians.
From 17 to 30 July sportsmen club “Arey” continued their sporting life is in the beautiful green Carpathians.
Compared with the hot dry climate in the Crimea in the Carpathians we breathed the fresh air with the smell of pines and firs.
Camp “Zelemyanka” (Grebeniv) hospitably took Karate Club.
The program included: a morning cross?, training in karate and jiu-jitsu, swimming in the river, hiking in the mountains.
Disco. Here the coach and the parents were swapped with their children. Children are taught to coach Tatyana Ushakova dance TYPE TONIC! But “10 kyu” in this dance style she want to train.
At the end of the camp was held KVN. Children struck by his sense of humor, theatrical talent and intelligence!
25-24 April 2010 Lviv team of 16 athletes took part in the 11 th World Karate Cup held in the Czech city of Hradec Kralove.
Sportsmen of 120 clubs from 17 countries performed at 7-tatami.
The best result of Team Lviv was winning of Galina Melnik in kumite 16-17 years. Also two commands male (cadets) and female (junior) won silver. Mary Maydanyuk and Max Suharev became bronze winners in their categories in kumite. In total in Lvov team brought five medals. Among the 120 Club (1025 members) “Team Lviv” took 13 th place.

April 10, 2010 in the Sports Palace “Ukraine” held a cup of Lviv region in karate (the third round of the League School Karate).
Dealt with by the competition karate club “Arey, the chief judge – Tatiana Ushakova.
In the event has taken 252 participants from 12 clubs in Lviv region.
Winners club was “Arey! Second place was taken by club “Odyssey” and the third – the club of “Shogun.”
Although the competition ended at 22.30 awardees been looking forward to the results of calculating the ranking. The best 5-athletes was handed the prize total of USD 1500. Its got: Yaschyshyn Irina (Club Arey), Perederij Nazar (Club Arey), Richter Ostap (Club Sene), Vladimir Feschyn (club “Odyssey”), Galina Melnik (Club Arey).
